Leah is now 2 months and growing cuter by the day. Along with this milestone came some big changes for this sweet girl...she moved from sleeping in our room into her nursery on the other side of the house (I know I sound like I'm being dramatic but it feels really far away). This was a lot harder on mom and dad than we thought it would be, and I would be lying if I said we haven't panicked a couple of times when we couldn't hear her breathing on the monitor and quietly, yet very quickly walked into her room to make sure she was ok. There was something oddly comforting about her soft, irregular breathing mixed with the occasional grunt and squeaky noise, but I didn't realize this until she had moved out. Now I am thinking, if this is how we felt when she just moved
across the house, I can't even imagine the day when she moves
out of the house...oh, my.
Ok, on a much happier note, Leah has been sleeping through the night for over 2 weeks now! Woohoo! You would only understand how big of a deal this is if you have ever had the pleasure of waking me up from a good sleep...let's just say my evil twin comes alive. God was definitely watching out for Brian when He blessed us with a good sleeper :)
Here are Leah's 2 month pictures:

Unfortunately, 2 months also marks the beginning of the dreaded shot series. Leah has always seemed to enjoy going to the doctor (she was there every week her first month for weight checks, so she probably thinks it is her second home), but I fear this may soon change. She was very happy and content during this last visit as she loved looking around the colorful room and showing off her superhuman strength (the doctor called her "a little Olympian" because she was so impressed by how well Leah kept her head up when placed on her stomach...she said Leah was at the level of a 4 month old). Then, her shining moment came to an end when the nurse arrived with two shots. She was very brave as she let out a high-pitched scream, cried for about 10 seconds, and then was looking around the room again content as could be. I was very proud of her! Here is a picture of her later that evening:

Leah's 2 Month Stats:
Weight: 9 lbs, 10 oz. (25th percentile)
Length: 22 1/4 in. (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 36.4 cm. (5th percentile)
Leah's 2 Month Fun Facts:
- Just now fitting into her 0-3 month size clothes (such a relief as half of her newborn size clothes were Christmas outfits...she was much smaller than we anticipated)
- Smiles and coos
- Thinks it is hilarious when we make baby sounds and then repeats that sound back to us. She gets so excited and looks at us like "hey, I can make that noise too".
- Not a fan of tummy time, but has always held her head up very well.
- Likes playing with her new play mat (pictures to follow)
- Although sleeping well through the night, she is hit-or-miss with naps. A few have been 2-2.5 hours, but she mostly likes to cat nap. I am hoping this changes soon.
- Likes to go to church, go shopping, and eat out. Not that we go shopping or eat out that often, but she is always on her best behavior when we do. I am hoping this doesn't change.
Ok, enough talking. Here are more pictures:
