Time Flies When You're Having Fun...

Time also flies when you have to feed your baby every 3 hours and when that baby sometimes likes to stay awake ALL day so she won't miss anything. Funny how, when I started this blog, I thought it would get updated at least once a week, if not more. This thought now makes me laugh as I sit here almost one month after my last post. We have been very busy the last few weeks with birthdays, Easter, special visitors, and just being out and about since it has warmed up. Some days it seems my biggest, if not my only, accomplishment at home is starting a load of laundry (notice I didn't use the word "finish" anywhere in this sentence), so you can see why this blog hasn't been on the top of my priority list.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I just wanted to explain why it's been so long since you've heard from me. I absolutely love being a mom, but ever since I have become one, there have just not been enough hours in the day. I am so grateful for my patient, loving, and helpful husband who says to me (on those days when I feel stressed because I got nothing done at home), "Your biggest accomplishment is that you took care of Leah and that is the most important thing". I am also lucky to have such a healthy, sweet, cute, fun, and easy baby. I know it sounds cliche, but I really am blessed beyond measure and I am so thankful to God for these precious gifts.

Here is a quick update on the last 3 and a half weeks in pictures (bear with me...we had a holiday):

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

We went to the office for Grandma's birthday celebration. Leah decided to wear her pink scrubs, just in case she got put to work.

"I guess I'll go see your patients, just change my diaper first."

"This rattle is pretty cool, but I like my hand better."

Dad giving Leah a bath. She is wondering why he isn't singing her bath song.

So fresh and clean!

"Why isn't my mouth big enough for both of my hands???"

Brushing Leah's hair after her bath. I'm afraid pretty soon there won't be any left to brush.

And here are some pictures from Leah's first Easter:

We were so happy that Aunt Carey and Uncle Mike were able to be here for Easter. We loved spending the weekend with them!

"What is going on and why is this thing on my head???"

"Oh, there are gifts? I'm loving this holiday thing!"

"I wonder if that bunny will mind if I chew on his ear?"

Our Easter Pirate

It is because of families like ours that the Bumbo got re-called. Don't worry, we did not leave her unattended. Leah enjoyed having a seat at the big people's table and her plate filled with a giant, stuffed Peep (in her favorite color, yellow).

"I guess I'll just eat my dress and pretend it is the giant Peep."

She loves her Aunt Bethany!

The Suddeth/Belcher Family

2 generations of cousins: Brian is 7 weeks older than Beth and Leah is 7 weeks older than Abigail (no, we did not plan this)

Proud Great-Grandparents!

Here comes Leah Cottontail!

Too cool for school

Checking out her Easter basket again later that evening

The week after Easter was my birthday, and then the following weekend my best friends from college drove up from Nashville to meet Leah. It was great having them here and we are so thankful all three of them were able to make it!

Leah wanted to drive me somewhere nice for my birthday, but she couldn't see over the steering wheel.

Leah loved hanging out with Beth, Shanna, and Rachel

Snuggle time with Shanna

Leah all ready for church, Beth all packed up ready to head home and see her little boy, Porter (Leah saw a video of him the other day and she now has a crush)

Coming soon: Leah turns 4 months!
